Big time narley weather here. Constant storm " train" heading up the coast from the south. Has been raining heavy off and on for the last 3 hours and on radar it looks like more a coming.

Mostly quiet here in Pinellas County. A few quick showers with winds running from 5 - ~20/25mph. Total rainfall for the past 24 hours is 1.10" here at my house. I guess it's the benefits of being in the dry air wedge.

VERY wet and windy day here in Vero Beach (Treasure Coast). 5.02 inches of rain just since midnight (more than 4 inches fell over a 2 hour period around mid-day). Flooding everywhere. Max wind speeds (sustained) reached 28 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph.

Tornado touched down in Vero Palm Estates and Countryside just west of Vero; evidently took out the front of the post office on State Road 60. Schools in the county were on lock-down for several hours due to the tornado and torrential winds/rainfall--some kids didn't even get to go to lunch and had to be escorted one at a time through the deluge to the restrooms (several are not connected to the main buildings). There were periods of sideways rain that drove rain through the windows of SE-facing classrooms. Luckily the rain bands pushed offshore just before dismissal.

25-35 mph all day out of the East here in Mayberry By the Sea, seems 50% of the energy of this system stretches up 30 miles wide of Fla east coastline from Miami to the Cape all PM, the main band at 5 pm no signs of cessation for the evening, all nighter will be 4-6 inches here by sunrise. Better be moving stuff to the second shelf up the Mississippi, especially if NO winds up in the 2 o'clock position.

Good Luck up there, another one next weekend in the islands if the CMC and Bermuda high are 7 day predictable

Looking at Tampa Bay long range radar and satellite loops, it appears that the persistent rain along the East Coast of FL is becoming detached from Isaac's circulation. A new band seems to be forming over West Central FL, extending over the Nature Coast, and into the Gulf. Running a 30 frame loop of the visible spectrum on the GOES-14 site is quite impressive.

Emptied 4.4 inches early today. When I finally made it home looks like about 7-8 inches in gauge. Will empty in morning. Power out at house about 5 hours. Much flooding with retention ponds and canals overvlowing. A real mess trying to find a way home. Son's car safe but trapped by deep water in all directions about a quarter mile away.
Wind, lightening, and rolling thunder. Tornado warnings and many homes damaged north of here in Vero Beach area. Reported that much of area along coast from Palm Beach to Indian River counties received 10 inches of rain. Worked trying to mitigate the water comming in to buildings, parking lots overflowing, etc. I got wet . Heck of a day. Nice to be home.

pounding weather today here in Vero Beach. more flooding on main streets than we saw for Frances and Jeanne in 2004. Tornado damage on route 60 in Countryside Estates. About 20 families homes were heavily damaged. Red Cross opened a shelter and temporarily housed one client....due to medical needs we transferred her to the hospital.
weather seems to be clearing now (8pm) and hopefully the worst is behind us by far.
