You using a low resolution? 800x600? Most of the site is shooting for 1024x768

Excellent maps. I have started using these on www.saintsreport.com as part of our storm tracking. The bulk of our fans live in the path of hurricanes, or have family who do.
One thing I did notice was a small error in the BBS code given at weather. Whenever I used it, the linked map would open up to an error. This is an example of coding that is working for me.
Again, thanks for all the hard work in developing these maps. Keep up the good work!

In some cases you may need to add an extra space between the" ][img]" tag. See below:

Love the maps - flhurricane.com has become my "go-to" site for hurricane info.
A question about the wind radii:

As you view these maps, and the model/track maps provided by the U.S. Navy, you will see that a large portion of the storm is indeed offset to the northeast quadrant as evidenced by the windfield radii drawn on each map. The wind radii depicted in our maps is created using official data provided by the National Hurricane Center.
Is this always true, no matter what the direction of travel for the storm is? It would seem that in the case of a storm traveling directly west making landfall on the east coast (i.e. in south Florida), the strongest quadrent of the storm (the leading right-hand quadrant along the path of travel) would be in the northWEST quadrant.
But I could be wrong...

The is pretty vague in their documention. That's why they say that "generally" 75% of the storm is in the northeast quadrant. Here is an example of a storm traveling northeast and the rule appears to apply... generally...

Great Maps-
In the spirit of those who watch the "line" so diligently. Would there/could there be any value in perhaps making the "line" thicker as it approachs land. This could take into consideration "jogs" that the keeps taking the heat for. Just an idea.

For a coastal resident who wants to draw his on conclusions about risk, the most useful thing on the web is the animated model plots. Great tool!

I like the map...helpful with hours marked. I would love to see map showing the other weather systems that can influence the streering currents all together in a simple format.
You could also add projected strength hour by hour as well.

Great Maps. It would be helpful if I could close the menu listing the credits. It covers up Florida and blocks some of the view of the overall map I would like to see.

Your map looks great, except for one thing........... Pensacola is not shown. We have had our share of hurricanes, why not show our location?

It would be helpful if you put a scale on the maps, such as the track map, so that we can tell distances. Preferably miles and kilometres, but if the latter is too hard then just miles would do. Just something simple, like 0--------50--------100.

Any map that shows county lines are helpful. Most people are instantly familiar with the "shape" of their county and most know where inside the "shape" they live. Good work!

G R E A T maps folks. This is the case where a picture is worth a thousand words  I really like the way the "loops' present the range of the wind. Gives you a good idea of how wide the storm is.
Keep up the good work please, so I can continue to get a good nights sleep.
