If Larry were to continue south along say 95W longitude, cross over the narrow portion of south Mexico, and emerge into the East Pacific basin as a weak tropical storm, what would the storm name be?
ED
larry. they changed the naming conventions a year or two ago to account for basin-crossers. still have yet to have one though (iris may have been but the subsequent pacific system was deemed to have originated there by other means and named manuel).
don't think larry will make it across as a named entity, however.
