Speaking of the same...
      #1564 - Fri Aug 02 2002 07:19 PM

We're about to get hit with a massive storm too. There have been some rotating almost-bands coming SSW from the MS coast. A gust front blew through about 10 minutes ago, but it's black to the east with a severe TS warning. I hear some rumblings in the distance so we're probably a-10 minutes and counting.

The gulf system is looking more impressive by the minute. There looks to be some banding out there and I'm now at a 50/50 with this system. If this thing does get going, how strong do ya'll think it may be able to get before it goes inland. I know that the upper air patterns are not " perfect" but there does seem to be a few things in its favor. Any thoughts?
