hurricane altitude

what is the altitude from ground level of a typical hurricane and what is the thickness of a hurricane?

The circulation with a hurricane begins at the surface and is usually detectable through 300mb, or about 30,000ft. Some can reach higher (while others reach lower, particularly weak storms), but with all mature hurricanes, you will find an upper-level anticyclone (high) above the circulation.
