to the Boston Red Sox upon winning the World Series.

As a Yankee fan, I am not happy about that, but they deserved to win it all this year. They were the better team.

I accept that too, the Yankee's can't always win. Boston Red Sox's win world series, total Lunar eclipse, most hurricanes make landfall on Florida; when did that last happen?

>>> when did that last happen?

Never before and never again...

Although, I'd put the averages on Boston winning a WS and 4 hurricanes striking Florida somewhere in the area of about once every 86 years...those two events occurring in the SAME year? Once every 1,000 years. Throw in the lunar eclipse, and make it once in 10,000 years

While LI Phil is accurate in that 4 hurricanes did impact Florida this year, officially only 3 made landfall in Florida - and that has happened before in 1871, 1886 and 1964. Check out 1886 - it was quite a year with 7 hurricane landfalls in the U.S.

But I'll certainly accept your accolades for the Red Sox. For that achievement I've waited a lifetime.
Cheers,
ED

Ed is correct...only three hurricanes did LANDFALL in Florida.

Though the folks in Pensacola might wanna argue that point.
