June 01 - low entering Gulf of Mexico
      #35983 - Wed Jun 01 2005 06:56 AM

not being an avid weatherperson by any means, it seems the tropical weather that is hammering Florida might soon be met up with the low over New Orleans.. is there any possible way this could flare up?

Sure does seem like the front end of Charley right now in Florida.

My guess is that the storms we are currently seing in Fl are the result of the occluded front to our north and the mid level developing Low in the gulf - - While the configuration of the front is rather odd - - the presence of a Gulf Low this late is not unprecedented
