January jitters? We had some severe weather in town last week. I woke up in my FEMA camper parked on my front lawn to watch 1 1/2 hours of lightning and lots of rain. We didn't get any tornadoes in my area, but there were 2 about 5 miles away.
Anyway, I'm living on my front lawn. Many here don't really care what happens with the levees next year. They're more worried about the trailers that thousands of us are living in. I was laughing during the severe storm thinking, "What am I gonna do if a hurricane threatens?" I can't stay in a 5th Wheeler. I no longer have any interior rooms since I gutted my walls. Hey, at least my kids, wife and dog are living happily ever after in New York State. They won't have to worry about this anymore. But I wonder. And I'll wait and see. I'll just have to pick the appropriate house with 2 stories to hang in if I decide to stay.
