Two Systems to Watch
      #70062 - Mon Aug 14 2006 08:00 AM

Saw this in the Palm Beach Post Blog today and was glad to see that someone has a sense of humor.

What will happen with the one near Florida? If you find out, please tell the folks in the National Weather Service's Jacksonville office, because they're dying to know:

"FOR YET ANOTHER DAY THE EXTENDED PORTIONS OF THE FORECAST ARE DEPENDANT UPON WHAT MIGHT ... OR MIGHT NOT...FORM OFF THE FLORIDA COAST AND IF IT DOES WHAT KIND OF STRUCTURE IT MIGHT ... OR MIGHT NOT .. .HAVE AND THEN AFTER THAT IF IT DOES ... OR DOES NOT ... APPROACH THE COAST AND OH YEAH IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS PARTICULAR MODEL RUN WAIT FOR ANOTHER ONE AND IT WILL CHANGE (AND YES THAT WAS A DELIBERATE RUN ON SENTENCE!)."

Saw that too! LOL. I'm in Deerfield, just a stones throw from you. I don't care what happens as long as it's just a rain event. We need it BAD. Got a heck of storm last night. The lightning was unbelievable. Got a good soaking but not long enough. Chances today are 70% so hopefully we'll get some more. It's already steamy hot outside. It's days like these that I love my desk job and whoever invented Air Conditioning!

When in doubt, take the word of the National Hurricane Center
