With the 2007 season coming ever closer we have already had our first named storm:
Subtropical Storm Andrea- 40 knots, 1002 hPa
There is a question that is on people's lips and that is If Subtropical Storm Andrea should have been named by the NHC?
I think it shouldn't and these are my 3 thoughts on why:
1) It had little convection attached to it when it was named.
2) It didn't have good banding features that some Subtropical Storms have.
3) It started to weaken before the NHC named it Andrea.
What are your thoughts on the matter?
