miami beach and north miami beach [Re: ftlaudbob]
      #79483 - Wed Oct 31 2007 06:44 PM

Work on Miami Beach... been raining on and off since 3pm. Very heavy surf, no one on the beach but kite surfers and the police are hiding behind their cars. Winds not as strong as yesterday but the surf is so strong no one is going near the water.

NMB is partially flooded, as was parts of the Haulover Area on the way north home today.

Electric was out at the house for some time and the sky is dark with lows streaming by fast and what looked like a few small funnel clouds off in the distance from one line that looked a bit like an outer band but probably was strong rain.

Wind light except for during squalls when its very strong.

Naples (inland - central Collier County) - winds are ENE 10.5 with highest gusts today at 37.9. Pressure steady at 29.79. We've had brief cloudbursts since late afternoon; could desperately use some rain.

Stay safe everyone!

Palm Bay - Better conditions today, very little rain if any. Winds still up a little, but not nearly what they have been for past 2 days.

Partly cloudy here north a few miles from Indiatlantic. Looks like some rain south of us. Still very windy. Lots of beach damage to the dune line from Paradise Park northward. A good part of the sand that was dredged up and trucked in along southern Brevard County has disappeared with last 3 high tides. 6-8 foot drop from the top of the dune down to beach here at the Crowne Plaza. We`ll see what happens the next few days....Weatherchef

Hey, Neighbor.

Back on topic...
It's still a steady wind today in Indialantic, but the rains seem to be more of a windblown mist, than torrential downpours.

Weston, Florida. (West of Ft. Lauderdale, next to the Everglades)

Clear skies, not even windy. I assume its like this because I'm not on the coast.
