You mentioned Humberto as one of the fastest Hurricanes ever developed. In A Nasa-Letter I found Humberto to have been one of those "Electric Hurricanes" which appear to be a new Phenomenon. Haven't such thunderbolt-bearing Hurricanes been described before ? Is it really a new phenomenon since Emily (July) and Katrina (Sept??)2005
Another Point that interests me: on the 23rd July 2007 there were 2 newly and suddenly arising Hurricanes
Found them on a Pix of Earth from ANU. Can you specify anything about these, there is even a third rather wide-circled Low in the mit-Northern Atlantic the same day. Thankyou, I'll stay tuned. klasse35
