Nuri now a 60 kt. T.S. passing about 100 mi. south of Hong Kong. Northeasterly shear has been beating on Nuri, and passing very close to Luzon has probably helped weaken it as well. Hong Kong reporting north winds at 22 mph, 998 mb and partly cloudy skies. With that shear blowing the convection off to the south and west, I don't know that it's going to get much worse in Hong Kong.

Yes, thankfully Nuri has weakened a great deal since leaving the Philippines. Hong Kong is getting some action right now. Found these home videos just posted on Youtube.
