Driest January on Record

The central Florida area, especially along the coast, has experienced the driest January in its recorded history. From the Melbourne National Weather Service Office:

Here at the house the precipitation total for January was 0.04" - also the driest month ever recorded here since I started to keep records in the mid 90s. Normal January rainfall in Melbourne is 2.19".
