I want to purchase a back-yard weather station that will tie into my desk top computer and allow for rapid fire networking with Weather Underground. If anyone is knowledgeable of these stations, could you please give me some insight as to the most preferred manufacture for this type of station for the plain-old' weather enthusiast? I am looking at the Davis Instruments Wireless Vantage Pro2 with UV and Solar Radiation Sensors and 24-Hour Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield with a separate Weather Web Cam and Davis Instruments 6332 Vantage Pro2 Anemometer Transmitter Kit to mount on away from obstructions. I believe the Davis Vantage Pro2 with the 6153-IP IP Ethernet Wireless Weather Station is the correct unit for the aforementioned set up. Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to suggest. The only other weather stations I have been able to find are but I don't know how the experts rank them up against the Davis stations. Again, thanks.
