CFHC Talkback For News Story #42:
Newest Talkback: 10:06 PM 08-08 EDT

Open Discussion
07:37 PM EDT - 08 August 2000

The two systems are still looking interesting tonight. Alberto is a fish spinner, and this leaves us with the possibility of a tropical depression or weak tropical storm entering east Central Florida Tomorrow.

Will it get that far? And if it develops how strong will it get? What about the wave east of the Bahamas? Where is that going? This is open discussion. Use the comment link.

My current thoughts on the low (closer to Florida) is that it will move over tomorrow as a weak Tropical Depression, and no more. But, then again, I could be surprised.

The other area probably won't landfall in Florida, but I can't say that for sure until the first one is out of the way.

I love your site. It moves to the top of my Favorite Places list during hurricane season. It was especially helpful last year for Floyd...since I don't have cable weather channels.
Thanks for hosting it!

O'dude's contributions not withstanding but I'm seeing some development with the wave N of the islands. Or am I?

Whatever the bermuda low turns out to be, its not going to hurt us too bad, but the wave raises some concern for us at 6 ft MSL!
